Outdoor Swim Program begins Monday June 20, 2016 at 8:00pm!
THIS IS NOT A LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM!!! WE ARE RUNNING A HIGH PERFORMANCE MASTERS AND TRIATHLON TRAINING CAMP FOR SWIMMING with workout sessions ranging from 3000 to 5000 meters, with each lane having it's own skill level.
The minimum requirement to swim with the Club: You must be 19 years of age, able to swim 5 x 100 meters on a 2:20 Pace Time and 600 metres non stop. There are no exceptions to the above time and distance. This is for everyone's safety and swim etiquette, as well for the coaching staff, so that they know that you can swim the workout that is given with others in your lane. If you do not know your time - find out on your own time, not ours! Any new non masters swimmer wanting to join our workouts, must show up either Monday or Wednesday (No Saturdays) at 7:40PM and swim the above set in front of one of the coaching staff during public swim - please e-mail Head Buckaroo: Doug Vanderby to let him know you are coming. We well not hold tryouts during our workout. Once again: WE ARE NOT A LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM!! If you have any questions about this feel free to contact Doug.
Due to insurance regulations all swimmers must be registered Masters Swim Canada Members (MSC) or with an affiliate Master's Swim Organization. If you do not have this membership, the fee is $40.00, which includes the MSC registration - payable by cash the day you swim. - MSO Membership is available until Wednesday July 29, 2016. If the Coaching Staff does not know you - you must provide proof of your MSC Membership. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS! - Do not put the Coaching Staff on the spot - WE WILL SAY NO! Sorry to be so direct, but too many people have been showing up on deck and expecting to swim without understanding our insurance regulations and giving the Coaching Staff a hard time about it. All new Swimmers must fill out and sign a Liability & Release Waiver and a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q). No signature - No Swim! Once again, sorry to be so direct - it's all about the insurance.
The Coaches: Check us out!
Workouts: Workouts are Monday & Wednesday - 8:05 PM to 9:45 PM, Saturdays 7:50 AM to 9:30 AM - There is a 10 minute setup time for the pool. If you are riding your bike and would like to bring it on deck you must do so after evening public swim ends at 8:00 PM. This goes the same with your swim bags. If you do so before 8:00 PM the staff will not allow you on deck as it is City Policy for public swims. We have a great relationship with the staff at the pool and we intend to keep it that way. The group warms up together. We then give the option, most of the time ;-) for Distance/Triathlete and Sprinters/Stroke. Workout Times at a Glance
Summer Membership Fees: Summerville Pool: Drop-in workouts are $15.00. Our pool rental fees have gone up again this year. We have 2 coaches on deck for the workout. Once again, you are swimming with like minded fellow athletes in a well coached/structured program. If you like swimming workouts in public length swims, be my guest. And by the way, the only egos allowed at our workouts are the coaches.... did I mention them.... Coaching Staff

This membership is for the Summer only. If you are interested in joining the North Toronto Masters Swim Club full time: September to June, swimming with us in the Summer gives you first priority with space availability at your skill level in the Fall. As always returning member's have first dibs on next season's membership. Being direct again..... avoiding any misunderstandings.
