2023 Masters Swimming Summer Training Camp

TBA

WE ARE NOT A LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM!!!

  • The Club's workout sessions range from 3000 to 5000 meters, with each lane having it's own skill level related to the set pace time of the workout.

  • The minimum requirement to swim with the Club: You must be 19 years of age, able to swim 5 x 100 meters on a 2:10 Interval Pace Time and 600 metres non stop. If you do not know what this means: We are not the the program for you - We are Swim Coaches - not Swim Instructors!

  • THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE ABOVE PACE TIME AND DISTANCE! This is for everyone's safety and swim etiquette, as well for the coaching staff, so that they know that you can swim the workout that is given with others in your lane.

Due to insurance regulations ALL SWIMMERS must be registered with Swim Ontario BEFORE showing up on deck - Welcome to the New Norm!!!!

  • If you are not registered with Swim Ontario/Canada, the fee is $40.00 (separate from membership fees).

  • The Club is now taking registrations for the Summer Season until July 6, 2022.

  • This registration is valid until Swim Ontario's year end, which is August 31, 2022.

  • The Club Treasurer  must receive payment first, you will then be directed to Swim Canada's Website to complete your registration and all required forms. It is a process... Again welcome to the New Norm!!

  • All non North Toronto Masters SC swimmers must fill out and sign the Club's  Liability & Release Waiver and a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q). These forms will be emailed to you by the Club Register  after your Swim Ontario/Canada registration is complete. You must have these forms filled out and signed the first time you attend a workout. No Forms - No Swim!

  • All participating swimmers MUST provide proof of being tripled vaxed for COVID - This is for the safety of our members who are also primary care givers. Again NO EXCEPTIONS!

  •  THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS! - Do not put the Coaching Staff on the spot - WE WILL SAY NO! Sorry to be so direct, but too many people have been showing up on deck and expecting to swim without understanding our insurance regulations and giving the Coaching Staff a hard time about it. Again the New Norm.....

Summer Membership Fees

  • Full Summer Membership - TBA - Our pool rental fees have gone up again this year. Once again, you are swimming with like minded fellow swimmers in a well coached/structured program.  If you like swimming workouts in public length swims, be my guest.

  • If you are interested in joining the North Toronto Masters Swim Club full time: September to June 2023/24. Swimming with us in the Summer gives you first priority with space availability at your skill level in the Fall. As always, returning member's have first dibs on next season's membership. Being direct again..... avoiding any misunderstandings.

Workouts

  • Workouts are Monday & Wednesday Evenings: 8:15 PM to 9:30 PM, Saturdays Mornings: 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. If you are riding your bike and would like to bring it on deck you must do so after evening public swim ends at 8:00 PM. This goes the same with your swim bags. If you do so before 8:00 PM, the staff will not allow you on deck as it is City Policy for public swims. We have a great relationship with the staff at the pool and we intend to keep it that way. The group warms up together. We then give the option, most of the time ;-) for Distance/Triathlete and Sprinters/Stroke.

  • Once you are fully registered, you'll be invited to the Club's private Summerville Facebook Page for the latest pool and Club updates.

  • There is ABSOLUTELY NO DIVING ALLOWED at Greenwood Park Swimming Pool.

  • If there is heavy rain or any sign of thunder or lightning 30 minutes prior to the start of the workout, the workout will be cancelled - Full Summer Membership fees are none refundable.

  • There are NO Summer Long Weekend Workouts (Saturday/Monday).

Start Date
